Scarves and More for Those in Need

Thank you Cynthia B for this awesome donation.  As you can see she has been very very busy with her crochet hook.  Lots of wonderful scarves to warm those in need.  Please click to see all the colors.  In the center of the picture, you can see scarves layed out, while the top and left side the scarves are folded.  Did this in order to get them all in one photo.  I love the mix of colors making the scarves good for for men and women.

She's also included socks which is so necessary, and 3 cotton washcloths.

The year is winding down, and what a year it's been.  I think during these difficult times, all the donation you all have knitted and or crocheted have even more meaning to those that receive them.

Thank you Cynthia B, please keep up the good work and know you've made a difference in many lives.

Crocheted Scarves Donated to Bridge and Beyond

Scarves!  LOTS of different colors.  Thank you Cynthia B for this generous donation of crocheted scarves to help Bridge and Beyond warm the homeless in need.  Click folks to see the variety in her stripes and colors.  I particularly like the one in the front on the left...the black-red-gray........looks very Buckeye-ish.  So does the the red 2 up from that with black and gray.

Cynthia has been very busy, there are 20 scarves!  Well actually, 19 in the picture.  After I picked them up to bag them for delivery, realized I missed one that was sitting on the chair beside this area, so her donation is 20 scarves!!  Woot woot, 20 additional warmer people.

Folks, please check out our goals in the right side bar.  All the numbers are growing which is exciting as we're definitely into the cold weather now here in central Ohio.  With this donation, we're almost at the 50% mark for scarves.  Getting real close.

Many thanks Cynthia and please keep up the good work.  You've made an important difference in the lives of 20 people in need.

Florida Stitches Help Ohio Homeless

Thank you Cynthia B and Juli B....these scarves are a continuation of their donation posted on November 1stI mentioned they had more, but generally try to minimize the number of pictures here on this blog, Bridge and Beyond.

Again scarves with lots of different colors, same crocheted width-wise and tohers lengthwise.  Notice some more Buckeye Scarves!  Those are always a hit.  These ladies teamed up with their crocheting, what a nice way to connect with people.

Thank you Cynthia and Juli, please remember to pack some sun next time, lol.  Yes, they are from The Sunshine State and it's only early November and I'm already tired of the frost and cold.  Please keep up the good work.

Crocheted Duo in Florida Aid Homeless in Ohio

Crocheted Scarves, Cotton Washcloths and Headbands
Crocheted scarves, headbands, and cotton wash cloths!!
Crocheted Scarves, Solid and Striped
Look how many different colors and sizes are available in this very generous donation from Cynthia B and Juli B!  Awesome work ladies from the sunny state of Florida.  Some scarves are made side to side and others are crocheted lengthwise.
Crocheted Scarves for Homeless
Some...even look like Buckeye Colors in this picture!!  LOVE the one on the far right.  All are great, but I like how that one is almost solid.....but bold with color at the same time.

Well done ladies!  Keep up the good work and know you're making a difference here on Bridge and Beyond.  We've had over a week of frost at night, and a few nights below freezing temps already.  I fear it's going to be a long cold winter.

Folks take a look at our totals, look at the graphs....things are growing.  Do your best and will keep plugging away at those goals.

**psssssssss, please check back in, these picture do NOT represent the whole donation from Cynthia and Julie!!  Stay tuned.

Hats, Scarves and Cotton Cloths from Sunny Florida Help Ohio's Homeless

Thank you Cynthia B and Juli B for this thoughtful donation.  I love that the two of you from sunny Florida put your skills together to help those in need here on Bridge and Beyond.  I love team work!  We're thrilled to have you and your helping hands.

Extra thanks for adding sizing tags to your hats.

Folks please click the picture to enlarge so you can see details and colors better.  The scarves also have size tags and are folded.  You may not see that they are scarves with them being so nicely folded......and in some cases paired with matching hats to make lovely gift sets.

They have also included 6 cotton washcloths in their donation for Ohio's Homeless.

We're chipping away at our goal folks.  With 16 days left in the calendar year (though remember I traditionally don't close the year until all donations received by the end of year get blogged about and sometimes that goes into a week or two in January), we would need about 10.6 hats per day and 8.6 scarves per day to hit our goal of donating the same number that we donated last year.  I don't know how close we'll get,  but....please keep checking in to see.

Many thanks Cynthia and Juli, we hope to see you here often on Bridge and Beyond.

Thank you Cynthia B for this awesome donation of crocheted hats, scarves, and socks.  Cynthia hails from sunny Florida, The Sunshine State.  Love the hat designs, and extra thanks for tagging with the size.  So very helpful for me and the volunteers at the various shelters.  Nice dark scarves are always perfect for the homelss with limited if any ability to do laundry.

Clean dry socks!!  So very important as we move into cold, damp central Ohio fall and winter weather.

Many thanks and please keep up the good work Cynthia.  Hope to see you here again on Bridge and Beyond.

Where are You and Your Yarn From?

I'm trying to identify where everyone is from, partially for fun. Take a look at the map. Also, believe it will aid me in cases where we have several people with the same name. Please look at the lists of bloggers and non bloggers and see if I have the state you hail from. If not, please leave a comment and let me know.

Additionally, we've had help from Scotland, England, Germany Puerto Rico, Canada, and France! They don't appear on the map, but their help is still greatly appreciated.
