Last Donation on Bridge and Beyond for the Year 2019

Thank you Karla T!  Drum roll folks, this donation of warm crocheted scarves from our friend Karla T will close out the year of 2019.  Lovely work Karla.  Colors that work for men or women.  Many thanks for your on going support of Bridge and Beyond and those homeless and in need folks here in Ohio.

As always folks, remember you can click on all blog pictures to see details.  The burgundy scarf on the left has details in the color you otherwise might not see.  Very nice, very subtle...tweedy.

Thanks again Karla and keep up the good work.  You've made a difference in the lives of those you touch with your donations.

AND......folks stay tuned, we'll be posting some final numbers and thoughts etc for the year of 2019.

**The counts on our progress bars are current. All donations regardless of size and number are valued. All donations are appreciated. The Power of One is awesome, and when we work together The Power of One becomes The Power of Many.

Knitted Hats Made With LOVE

Look at these cute hats!  Many thanks Karla T for this thoughtful donation of loomed knitted hats.  She has a nice variety of size and color.....and what a special touch, please click to enlarge so you can see the cute cute size tags she used!  These are adorable.  She's added the size to the back.

Made with Love!  How sweet and appropriate is that!  Looks like she's printed them on her computer, punched a hole and tied on with yarn.  And as I said above she's written the size on the back.  This makes the whole thing seem so much like a gift........which it is; but we might forget that from time to time.  When we think of donations, we may not equate that term with giving a gift.  We're giving a gift to say we care, we love you, we wish the best for you.

Karla, gotta say.......you win the day with these.  They really made me smile and brought back a memory.  When I first started knitting and crocheting for charity.........YEARS ago, someone on line found silver and gold charms that were shaped like a heart that said made with love.  I used to tie the charm onto afghans I made for Squares for Survivors.  A charity to benefit those in Louisiana from hurricane Sandy.  At least from memory I think it was Sandy.  Haven't used or seen or thought of those little charms in a long while; but....they didn't have the ability to add size which your cute size tags do!

Keep up the good work and know your hats have made 5 more people warmer, and they know someone cares for them.

Crocheted Scarves Help Ohio's Homeless

Thank you Kara T for this thoughtful donation of 4 crocheted scarves.  Two are traditional scarves, and two Infinity Scarves.  All are nicely made, super soft, and nice and warm!!  That's what I call a win win for those who receive these lovely scarves.  Karla your support of Bridge and Beyond is greatly appreciated, by me, by those volunteers at the various shelters, as well as those who will wear your crocheted items.  Even though it's summer here in central Ohio, we've had nights cool enough, I've closed the windows in the house and pulled up a blanket, so our homeless friends are still in need of warm items to help keep themselves warm.

Please keep up the good work, Karla!

**We started the year with the number of items we had donated last year, 2016; and will subtract our donations from that.  Using the end number for 2016 as the goal for the each item.  So, as the year continues you will see numbers decrease.  Our goal is to meet and surpass the number of items donated last year.**

Scarf make such a difference in cold damp weather and are a wonderful item for anyone living out in the elements, as well as those living at shelters who often spend the bulk of their day outside waiting until it's time to get a night inside.

Where are You and Your Yarn From?

I'm trying to identify where everyone is from, partially for fun. Take a look at the map. Also, believe it will aid me in cases where we have several people with the same name. Please look at the lists of bloggers and non bloggers and see if I have the state you hail from. If not, please leave a comment and let me know.

Additionally, we've had help from Scotland, England, Germany Puerto Rico, Canada, and France! They don't appear on the map, but their help is still greatly appreciated.

Where The People Who Donate Come From, is your state represented?
